Key Ingredients
This high-quality, palatable formulation includes the following key ingredients:
- Green Lipped Mussel (GLM): is natural shellfish extract (sourced from New Zealand) containing glucosamine, chondroitin, essential fatty acids (EFAs) and other ingredients.
- Glucosamine HCl: Glucosamine is a natural compound and key building block for cartilage and synovial fluid (joint lubricant). As dogs age, their natural production of glucosamine slows resulting in poor joint lubrication, bone-on-bone friction, pain and reduced mobility.
- Hyaluronic acid: a major macromolecule component of cartilage and joint fluid.
- Ascorbic acid: is the most important water-soluble anti-oxidant that supresses free-radicals.
- Calcium & Manganese: are both natural antioxidants.
- Vitamin E: an important fat soluble anti-oxidant used to mop up damaging free-radicals.
Directions for Use
Capsules can be given whole, or opened and mixed into food. Some cats may prefer to be introduced gradually, mixing the powder into a strong-flavoured food that the animal likes.
For cats of an average 4 - 5 kg body weight, give one capsule per day. For smaller cats, reduce to half a capsule. For older or stiff cats, or cats with a specific joint disorder, give two capsules per day for the first 4 -6 weeks. After this, reduce to one capsules per day for ongoing maintenance, or according to the advice of your veterinarian. Ensure fresh water is available to the animal at all times.
