Formulated by vets DNA Vetcare: Hepatic Care (90 Sprinkle Capsules) is a capsule-based feed supplement formulated to help support liver function in cats and dogs. It includes a standardized extract of milk thistle along with a full complex of B-vitamins and anti-oxidants alpha lipoic acid and DL-Methionine.
Product Formulation
DNA Vetcare: Hepatic Care (90 Sprinkle Capsules) provides a selected combination of ingredients to provide nutritional support for liver function:
- Milk thistle: Contains biologically active and abundant quantities of silymarin and silibinin which support normal liver function through several key mechanisms including managing normal inflammatory and antioxidant effects, cell regeneration, toxin protection and glutathione preservation.
- DL Methionine: A sulphur-containing amino acid that enters the methionine cycle and is transformed into SAMe. SAMe is then hydrolysed to homocysteine which leads to the formation of glutathione. Glutathione is an important antioxidant the lack of which has an effect on cellular protection.
- Inositol: Acts on fat metabolism, insulin function, and oxidative stress working synergistically to support normal liver function.
- Choline: Choline is an essential nutrient for liver health, primarily because it is necessary for the proper metabolism and transport of fats.
- Vitamin B-Complex: B vitamins are water-soluble and are vital for numerous metabolic processes found in the liver.
- Alpha Lipoic Acid: A potent antioxidant that supports normal liver health by increasing glutathione levels.

Capsules can be given whole, or opened and mixed with food.
